I wake up this morning and go on my Facebook. I scroll down my newsfeed—nothing special. I go to say something to my friend, Rick, and I notice something: He un-friended me! Not understanding what happened, I went into a frantic fit. I tried to call and text him, and there was no answer. My friendship with him was ruined, all because I didn't give him a high-five in church last weekend. We all have experienced this where someone un-friends us on Facebook. Even though it can be for stupid reasons, it still happens. But I want to let you know something: God's relationship with us through Jesus is so much stronger!
It says in Hebrews 13:5b (CEB): "...[God] has said, I will never leave you or abandon you."
No matter what you say, think, or do, He will never leave! Maybe you have had an experience with a dad leaving your family or a friend abandoning you forever. I want to let you know that God will never do that! Even if you hate His guts, He will never leave you. He is yourconstant companion. In the end, then, we can know that God will always be at our side, no matter what we try to hide. So, let's get to know our Jesus and live for Him, knowing that He will never leave us, even if we mess up. I hope and pray this encourages you.
